Direct Instruction:
We develop and implement home-based therapy programs based on principles of applied behavior analysis that are individually tailored to each child's strengths and needs. We also provide parent and family trainings, working closely with families to help them manage behaviors and teach new skills as the need arises.
Art Therapy:
Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person's physical, mental, and emotional well being. Sharing art and performing together can help children build social skills and bond with peers. It provides a medium for self-expression, communication, and has the capacity to address imagination deficits, build abstract thinking skills, creativity and flexibility. In addition, art therapy can also help families discover new ways of relating to their child.
We offer individual art therapy sessions for your child. These sessions utilize art materials to help build your child's imagination, develop self-awareness, sensory integration, increase self-esteem and manage behaviors.

Assessment:
Functional Behavior Assessment:
Discover what is behind that frustrating behavior! A functional behavior assessment includes a family history, ecological analysis, and observations/data collection. A complete FBA can take up to 5 sessions, but the family history can be completed during the FREE initial consultation, minimizing the amount of sessions you need to pay for. At the end of the FBA, you will receive a behavior support plan that is tailored to your child's individualized needs, as well as training for implementing the plan.
Behavior Support Plan Follow-Up:
After conducting an FBA and writing an individualized behavior support plan, we highly recommend booking a follow-up assessment each month to monitor the plan and your child's progress. These sessions can also be used to provide follow-up trainings on implementing the behavior support plan.
Language and Learning Assessment:
This assessment covers a very broad spectrum of skills that affect language development and your child's ability to access learning. This assessment is essential in developing a successful home program and monitoring progress!

*Helpful Information about Using Private Insurance to Cover ABA Services*
Our behavioral services may be covered by your health insurance!
- Most insurance companies require a medical diagnosis from the DSM-5 of Autism (Level 1, 2, or 3) in order to cover ABA services
- Ask the insurance company what, if any, documentation is needed to determine “medical necessity”
- Some of the procedure codes to ask your insurance company about for behavioral services are:
- 0359T (behavior identification assessment)
- 0364T (adaptive behavior treatment by protocol)
- 0368T (adaptive behavior treatment with protocol modification)
- 0370T (family adaptive behavior treatment guidance)
- Some insurance companies are covering out-of-network providers, since many do not have a sufficient number of in-network BCBAs
- If your employer chooses a self-funded plan, the plan will fall under federal regulations (ERISA) and services may not be covered by your policy at all. More info on ERISA at http://www.autismspeaks.org/sites/default/files/docs/gr/erisa_tool_kit_9.27.2013.pdf
- Autism speaks has an “app” to help families navigate the system called “Insurance Link”, it can be found at www.autismspeaks.org/advocacy/insurancelink
